ACElinksACElinks is a Grade 12 equivalency program offered in 2 downtown locations: Heartwood House at Rideau and Chapel and the John Howard Society on Old St. Patrick. It is a partnership between People, Words & Change, the John Howard Society, ALSO, and Algonquin College. ACElinks is an academic upgrading program leading to the Academic and Career Equivalency (ACE) Certificate. This certificate is recognized by Community Colleges, apprenticeship programs, and some employers. The program is open to students who:
Students who meet the entrance criteria can join the program at any time of the year, and will work at their own pace through the curriculum. Classes are held in a small classroom setting with individualized learning and support from the ACElinks teacher. The ACElinks program runs Tuesday and Thursday mornings at the John Howard Society on Old St. Patrick street, and Monday and Wednesday mornings at Heartwood House at the corner of Rideau and Chapel streets. |
